Bayern eye Akinfeev move

Bayern Munich are reportedly keen on recruiting CSKA Moscow goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev.

The 23-year-old has made more than 150 league appearances for the Russian outfit, as well as making 33 outings for his country, helping Guus Hiddink's side reach the semi-finals of Euro 2008.

As a result, the glove-man was believed to have been interesting Premier League champions Manchester United, who have also been linked with Schalke stopper Manuel Neuer as a replacement for their ageing No.1 Edwin van der Saar.

However, according to Moscow paper Sport Express, Bayern are also weighing up a move for the highly-rated youngster, as they continue to search for a long-term successor to Oliver Kahn, who retired last summer after making in excess of 400 Bundesliga appearances.
