Kyle Walker (Manchester City)
Acquired from Tottenham for £50m, the raiding right-back produced more assists (six) than any defender in Fantasy Premier League last term. Walker, available for £6.5m, has been utilised as a wing-back over the summer as Pep Guardiola contemplates a three-man defence.
Harry Maguire (Leicester)
Leicester snapped up the versatile Maguire from relegated Hull, and at just 5.0 he'll offer you more than mere clean sheet potential. The centre-back scored twice last season and ranked second for shots inside the box (24) among FPL defenders in 2016/17; third for overall attempts on goal.
Sead Kolasinac (Arsenal)
The Bosnia international produced three goals and five assists for Schalke in last season’s Bundesliga. Priced at £6.0m, Kolasinac netted against Chelsea in the Community Shield and looks set to claim the left-wing-back role in Arsenal’s new 3-4-2-1 formation.

The Egypt international arrives at Anfield having scored 15 goals and assisted 13 more for Roma in 2016/17. Available for £9.0m, he has been quick to make his mark by netting four times in Liverpool’s pre-season friendlies.
Pascal Gross (Brighton)
A set-piece specialist, the Seagulls’ new playmaker was ranked number one for chances created in the Bundesliga in each of the last two seasons. Gross is priced at an enticing £5.5m, and has already scored three times in a central support role in recent friendlies.
Tom Ince (Huddersfield)
The Terriers winger has the form to make an immediate impact, having joined from Derby on the back of 14 goals and eight assists last season. Costing just £6.0m, Ince has found the net four times in pre-season and avoids playing last year’s top six in the first six gameweeks.
Javier Hernandez (West Ham)
Hernandez returns to the Premier League after netting 39 goals in 76 appearances over two years at Bayer Leverkusen. He'll only set you back £7.0m and could also claim penalty duties, making him an attractive go-to mid-price option for three-man frontlines.
Romelu Lukaku (Manchester United)
Owned by a massive 48% of FPL managers, Lukaku is far and away the most popular player in the game after his summer move to Old Trafford. Handed a price tag of £11.5m after netting 25 times for Everton, he faces just one of last term’s top six in the first nine gameweeks.
Alvaro Morata (Chelsea)
Chelsea’s summer signing from Real Madrid will offer the Blues a physical presence up front and looks the perfect replacement for Diego Costa. Having returned 15 goals and three assists last term, the £10.5m-priced Spaniard will also add much-needed pace to the champions' attack this time out.
