The Europa Conference League draw for the play-off round of the 2022/23 tournament has been confirmed, with Lazio, Braga and Anderlecht all hoping to reach the last-16.

The draw consisted of eight teams who finished third in their Europa League group and subsequently dropped down into the Europa Conference League, with those teams being drawn against of the eight sides to finish second in their group of this competition.

West Ham finished top of their group so have received a bye into the last-16, but sides such as Fiorentina, Trabzonspor and Basel failed to finish first and have therefore been pitted against one of the teams to drop into the Europa Conference League for a two-legged tie in the play-off round.

Lazio are arguably the biggest side looking to progress to the last-16 of the Europa Conference League, with the Italian side set to face Cluj in their play-off tie. Lazio are currently third in Serie A, but finished third in the group stages of the Europa League, and have therefore dropped down.

Braga versus Fiorentina also looks an interesting match-up. Both are regularly in European competitions, with the Portuguese outfit perhaps more fancied to progress from this clash.

Elsewhere, Gent head to Azerbaijan to take on Qarabag, a side which competed in the Champions League as most recently as the 2017/18 season. Bodo/Glimt are up against Lech Poznan in another of the play-off games, the Norwegian side going a lot more strongly in their respective domestic league than their Polish counterparts.

Turkish champions Trabzonspor are playing against Basel, and will fancy their chances against the Swiss despite starting the Super Lig season somewhat inconsistently.

AEK Larnaca, from Cyprus, face Ukrainian outfit Dnipro-1, a club competing in Europe for the first time in its history. Only founded in 2017, Dnipro-1 quickly reached Ukraine's top flight before finishing third in the league last season. Fittingly, the two sides actually played each other in a play-off to make the Europa League back in August - AEK Larnaca prevailed 5-1 on aggregate, but they'll face each other again to try and retain their European journey.

Sheriff Tiraspol will play Partizan Belgrade across two legs in a bid to reach the last-16 of the Europa Conference League, too.

Finally, Bulgarian side Ludogorets are up against Anderlecht.
