Defeat by RB Leipzig on Tuesday night would leave PSG’s hopes of qualifying for the knockout phase of the Champions League hanging by a thread.
Thomas Tuchel’s side reached the final of the competition last season, going down 1-0 to Bayern Munich in Lisbon. However, they have had a poor start to the current edition of Europe’s premier club tournament, taking just three points from the first nine available to sit third in Group H at the halfway stage.
PSG were beaten 2-1 by Manchester United on matchday one, before a Moise Kean brace brought them a 2-0 win against Istanbul Basaksehir. They then took the lead against RB Leipzig last time out, only to concede either side of half-time and succumb to a 2-1 defeat. Furthermore, they head into Tuesday’s contest on the back of a 3-2 loss to Monaco in Ligue 1 on Friday.
RB Leipzig may well settle for a draw at the Parc des Princes in the knowledge that such an outcome would keep them three points clear of PSG with two games remaining. They suffered an magnanimous 5-0 defeat by Manchester United on matchday two, but that 2-1 triumph over PSG before the international break was an excellent result for Julian Nagelsmann and co.
PSG will have to make do without the suspended Presnel Kimpembe, but Neymar is in line to return to the starting XI here. Marquinhos and Leandro Paredes are also available again after being rested against Monaco, while Ander Herrera will require a late fitness test.
Highly-coveted centre-back Dayot Upamecano is set to start after shaking off an injury in time to play against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga at the weekend. Willi Orban is also available, but Lukas Klostermann, Marcel Halstenberg and Nordi Mukiele will all miss out for last season’s semi-finalists.

The only broadcaster with rights for the Champions League in the UK this is BT Sport, which will show every single game from the group stage, knockout rounds and final.
