Adelaide Oval to host A-League Grand Final for the first time

Topics

The A-League 2016 Grand Final will create history when it kicks off at Adelaide Oval for the first time, after the Reds crushed Melbourne City 4-1 on Friday night.

Man of the moment Bruce Djite sent Adelaide United on their way with a brace just after half time before Dylan McGowan and Pablo Sanchez sent Coopers Stadium into delirium with match-sealing goals in the dying stages.

The Championship decider will see Adelaide host the decider for the first time in the league’s 11-year history when they meet the winner of Sunday afternoon’s clash between the Western Sydney Wanderers and Brisbane Roar.

Adelaide's remarkable turnaround from last place has been the fairytale story of the season.
