Davidson AWOL from Heracles training camp

Socceroo Jason Davidson has reportedly skipped a preseason training camp in Germany with club Heracles Almelo to fly to England.

The West Bromwich Albion target has been locked in a dispute with the Eredivisie club which claims he is contracted to them for another year.

The 23-year-old, who was part of Australia’s World Cup squad, is one of a number of Socceroos hoping to secure post-Brazil transfers.

Heracles club chairman Jan Smit told Voetbal International: “Since Monday he has not reported here, Jason has not fulfilled his obligations.

“What I understand, he is in England looking for a new club. Perhaps that provides a solution. "

Smit added: "Meanwhile, we are working to effect a settlement with his agent. Then you have to think of financial compensation and another left back."

Oh dear, I hope he finds a team soon, Socceroos need him to have regular game time in the lead up to the Asian Cup 2015.

Of course we all want him to go up and know he's a future star, just hope he and his manager go about it the right way. It appears heracles didn't want to release him. As outsiders most of us don't really understand how these contract making and breaking deals work.
