The Young Socceroos moved a step closer to qualification for the 2015 U20 World Cup with a crucial 1-0 win over Indonesia on Sunday night.
Danny de Silva set up the winning goal, scored by Jashua Sotirio, and was a starring factor in the Young Socceroos victory.
It was far from a convincing performance but the Socceroos were the better of the two sides throughout the 90 minutes.
Brandon Borello and Jordan Brown came closest for Australia but could not get past Indonesian goalkeeper Ravi Murdianto.
The winning goal came on 68 minutes when de Silva set up Sotirio who dispatched a well placed shot.
Awer Mabil almost made it 2-0 shortly after when he was also set up by de Silva but he could only smash his shot against the crossbar.
Australia will now play against Uzbekistan in the final group game on Tuesday.
The top-four teams at the tournament qualify for the U20 World Cup in New Zealand next year.
