Halloran heads to Heidenheim

Socceroo Ben Halloran has made a switch in Germany, moving from Fortuna Dusseldorf to Heidenheim.

The 23-year-old signed a three-year deal with Heidenheim, who finished in eighth – two spots higher than his former club – in 2. Bundesliga in 2014-15.

The clubs decided against making the transfer fee public.

Halloran made 19 league appearances for Fortuna Dusseldorf last season, in what was his second campaign with the club.

The former Gold Coast United and Brisbane Roar man joins Frank Schmidt's men until June 2018.

"We are delighted that this transfer has been concluded with Ben Halloran," Heidenheim chief executive Holger Sanwald said.

"We have now committed to another attacking midfielder."
