Dortmund chief warns Liverpool they "won't get gifts" in Jude Bellingham pursuit
Jude Bellingham is a wanted man and Liverpool are one of the leading contenders for his signature
Borussia Dortmund managing director Carsten Cramer says Liverpool is his “preferred Premier League club” for Jude Bellingham but warned the Reds that they will get no “gifts".
The England midfielder is one of the most sought-after players in Europe after becoming a key man for club and country.
Liverpool have been strongly linked with the 19-year-old, but Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid have also shown interest.

Bellingham is widely expected to depart Dortmund at the end of the season, despite having a deal there until 2025, but Cramer won’t let him go without a fight.
“The longer Jude will be with us, the better it will be,” he said in an interview published on Vietnam News.
Asked if the Jurgen Klopp connection makes Liverpool the best fit, he added: “We both care about Dortmund.”
"We have a high sympathy for Liverpool, for sure. We are still in a good relationship with Jurgen and many others at Liverpool.

"So for me, it is my preferred club in the Premier League as well. But don’t expect that we will make gifts to Liverpool."
Bellingham joined Dortmund from Birmingham City in 2020 and has developed into one of the best young midfielders in Europe during his spell in the Bundesliga.
The teenager has nine goals in 22 appearances for the German club this season, and is currently with the England squad at World Cup 2022.
Bellingham was among the scorers in the Three Lions’ opening 6-2 win over Iran and has started every match so far for Gareth Southgate’s side, who won Group B to set up a last 16 clash with Senegal.
