Manchester United are on a high after their Champions League victory at PSG and will look to continue their good form against troubled Chelsea on Saturday at Old Trafford.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side impressed in a 2-1 victory in Paris against last season’s runners-up.
The result came on the back of a 4-1 victory at Newcastle, but the Red Devils have some work to do domestically after a poor start to the league campaign.
They go into the clash with Frank Lampard’s side having taken just six points from their opening four matches.
Chelsea are coming off back-to-back draws that came in contrasting fashion, surrendering the lead twice in a 3-3 tie with Southampton last weekend before holding Ajax to a 0-0 stalemate in the Champions League.
The erratic Blues defence could come up against Edinson Cavani, who is in line to make his United debut.
The Uruguayan, who signed on a free transfer after leaving PSG at the end of last season, hasn’t featured in a league match since February.
Mason Greenwood and Harry Maguire should be available again for Solskjaer, but Eric Bailly is injured and Anthony Martial suspended.
Chelsea are without injured goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and midfielder Billy Gilmour, but Hakim Ziyech could make his first start since joining from Ajax over the summer.
If United come out on top, it will be the first time they have won three consecutive top-flight clashes with Chelsea since the days of Sir Matt Busby’s side in 1965.
