Aussies Abroad Weekend Wrap

This week’s star turn was, as is so often the case, Tom Rogic, who only needed a half to score one goal and set up another as Celtic strolled to an 8-1 win over Hamilton Academical.

In the FA Cup in England, Brad Smith made his home debut for Liverpool, playing a full 90 minutes and setting up the opening goal as the Reds progressed 3-0, while Aston Villa youngster Jordan Lyden made his full debut for the club in a 2-0 cup win.

There was also plenty of goal scoring action this week, with Andrew Barisic scoring as Eastern SC claimed the Hong Kong Senior Shield, while Jackson Irvine grabbed a goal in a 2-1 win over Scott McDonald’s Motherwell.
