Australian striker Scott McDonald has returned to Motherwell until the end of the season, the Scottish Premier League strugglers confirmed on Thursday.
The 31-year-old spent three-and-a-half seasons at the club from 2004-07, scoring 45 times before his move to Celtic.
McDonald left previous club Millwall in January, coming to an agreement to mutually terminate his contract.
And he has returned to the outfit at which he enjoyed so much success.
A 26-time Socceroo, McDonald desperately needs to turn around Motherwell's fortunes – with the Fir Park outfit sitting bottom of the league.
Subject to an international clearance, Motherwell are hopeful of having McDonald for Saturday's clash against Inverness CT.
McDonald struggled for goals at Millwall after solid contributions at both Celtic and Middlesbrough.comments
