NOW TRY Quiz! Can you name the England line-up from the 1966 World Cup match against West Germany?

You know the cliches by now. It's a bit like the Judge's Houses stage of The X Factor

First, Gareth has to ring around those who haven't made it, just to let them know ahead of the final announcement of who has. Then, leaks start to appear of who's been informed that they won't be on the plane to the World Cup. Cue muffled uproar from fans refusing to believe it's true on social media.

Then comes the official announcement. That'll be a showy video on social media these days, followed by the players themselves announcing how proud they are on their own channels. We'll have a little debate here and there about who's desperately unlucky to have missed out and then wonder if it actually, it's really coming home.

Well, think back to every one of those times that you've had your eyes glued to Sky Sports News for the final list of players heading to the World Cup. Who was on there?
