Croatia v Czech Republic live stream, BBC, Friday 18 June, 5pm BST

Czech Republic will book their place in the last 16 of the European Championship if they beat Croatia on Friday.

Jaroslav Silhavy’s side got their Euro 2020 campaign off to the perfect start with a 2-0 victory over Scotland last time out. A trip to Hampden Park to contest Scotland’s first fixture at a major tournament since 1998 represented a potential banana skin, but the Czechs handled the occasion well and emerged victorious thanks to the two-goal Patrik Schick. His 50-yard effort is already being touted as one of the greatest Euros goals of all time.

Schick was the difference between the two sides, as Scotland proved unable to match his clinical finishing. The de facto home team created numerous chances on the day but were wasteful in and around the penalty area, and now have a mountain to climb. Czech Republic rode their luck at times, but all in all it was an impressive opener for Silhavy’s team.

GUIDE Euro 2020 live stream: How to watch every game in the tournament, from anywhere in the world

Croatia suffered a 1-0 loss to England in their first game, and therefore cannot really afford another defeat here. The Vatreni got the better of the Three Lions at the 2018 World Cup, but the evidence from their Euro 2020 opener suggests they have gone backwards since that tournament. Ivan Rakitic and Mario Mandzukic have now retired, and Croatia were noticeably weaker without two previously integral players.

Zlatko Dalic’s side lacked a goal threat against England, with Ante Rebic barely troubling Tyrone Mings and John Stones. Croatia could bring in Bruno Petkovic up front and move Rebic wide for Friday’s game, when they will hope to create more clear-cut opportunities than they managed at Wembley last weekend.

Luka Modric, the captain and talisman, will again be key to their build-up, while Dejan Lovren will hope to come into the backline after missing out against England with a knee problem.

Kick-off is at 5pm BST and game is being shown on BBC One/BBC iPlayer. See below for watching details where you are.

Use a VPN to watch a Croatia v Czech Republic live stream from outside your country

If you’re out of the country for any Euro 2020 fixtures, then annoyingly your domestic on-demand services won’t work – the broadcaster knows where you are because of your IP address (boo!). You'll be blocked from watching it, which is not ideal if you still want to catch Harry Kane's in-swinging corners without resorting to illegal feeds you’ve found on Reddit.

But assistance is on hand. To get around that, all you have to do is get a Virtual Private Network (VPN), assuming it complies with your broadcaster’s T&Cs. A VPN creates a private connection between your device and t'internet, meaning the service can’t work out where you are and won't automatically block the service you've paid for. All the info going between is entirely encrypted – and that's a result.

There are plenty of good-value options out there, including:
