CENTRAL COAST MARINERS
LIAM REDDY – 7
Couldn’t do anything for the goals. Did what was required. Just unfortunate he was on the losing side.
STORM ROUX – 7
Did his job and pushed up towards the end to help his team in search of an equalizer. Wasn’t bad.
JOSHUA ROSE – 6.5
Provides plenty down the left and going forward. Delivery today needed to be better.
EDDY BOSNAR – 6
Had to guide other center-back Poscoliero. Otherwise wasn’t his best day out.
JACOB POSCOLIERO – 6
Made his debut and will take time to adjust from the state leagues.
KIM SEUNG-YONG – 6
Again got subbed. Don’t think it was for tactical reasons. Needs to make a bigger impact.
MITCHELL DUKE – 7
Is one of Mariner’s best players and today showed that. Dangerous when running at players. Had a snap shot in the first half whiched dipped and he made Moss really work for it.
NICK MONTGOMERY – 6
Played 64 minutes. Needed to do better.
JOHN HUTCHINSON – 6
Strong work rate but he is a player that takes time to wind up in his preparation. Will come better.
MATTHEW SIM – 7
Slowly building on his performances. Plays a roaming type of role. Does get into smart positions but needs more matches to improve. Did pose dangers.
MALICK MANE – 6.5
Lively, makes good runs and has a strong engine. Will take time for things to click so he must be patient.
NICK FITZGERALD – 6.5
How did he miss that header in the 78th minute? He started off the move as well. Otherwise ok.
ANTHONY CACERES – 6.5
Came on in the 64th minute. Is a kid with a bright future. Today conditions were difficult against him.
GLEN TRIFIRO – 7
Made good impact off the bench when he came on in the 55th minute. This role suits him better. Had a good shot saved by Moss however he should have done better with it.
GLEN MOSS – 8
Not sure what happened with the communication on the first goal but in the 80th minute he pulled off a very important save off Trifiro.
TOM DOYLE - 7
Started off with a good long diagonal ball to Burns, but turned to disaster when he put the ball into his own net. Played a great chance to the far post on the match winner. Mixed performance but part of a winning side.
ANDREW DURANTE – 7.5
Again was solid. Rarely plays a poor match so he needed to make up for last week.
MANNY MUSCAT - 7
Work horse in the holding role. Plays with solid aggression. Always need one of those in your side. Manny does it well.
BEN SIGMUND – 7.5
ROLY BONEVACIA – 7
Got taken off. Wasn’t playing badly. Still adjusting to the league.
ALEX GORRIN – 7
Doing well. Again he is another foreigner that will need time. Expectation is to go in and dominate from the first match. Holding his own in this league.
ALBERT RIERA – 7.5
Workhorse in midfield and played pretty well. Works well with McGlinchey and Burns.
MICHAEL MCGLINCHEY – 8.5
Going to be a key player for Phoenix this season. Showed great quality. Was involved in both goals.
NATHAN BURNS – 8.5
Workhorse and scored the winner. Making up for that missing spark from last season. He was outstanding.
JEREMY BROCKIE – 6.5
Again he was quiet but assisted the match winning goal and will draw praise in his part.
LOUIS FENTON – 6.5
Not bad after coming on in the 71st minute. Was better last week but is a young player trying to break through into a first team spot.
VINCE LIA – 6
Came on in the 85th minute and his role was to block any mariners attacks, and did well under the circumstances.
KENNY CUNNINGHAM – 6
Came on in the 79th minute. Job was to be a part of parking the bus. Did well.comments
