Edgar high-tails it to Huddersfield

Australian teenager Adam Edgar is set to join Socceroo Jason Davidson at English Championship club Huddersfield Town.

Edgar, who spent time with the Newcastle Jets National Youth League team last season and at the Nike Academy in the UK, grew up in England but moved to Australia with his family as a 10-year old.

The former Brisbane City and Sunshine Coast Fire centre forward will join the Terriers’ Under-21 side.

FourFourTwo Australia understands Huddersfield is just waiting for Edgar’s international clearance to be approved. The striker will sign with the Championship outfit as a second-year scholar.

Edgar has trialed with several British clubs, including Preston North End, Glasgow Rangers, Birmingham City and Middlesbrough, in the past.

The 17-year old attacker will join Socceroo defender Jason Davidson on the books at Huddersfield.
