Jones in sight as Glory line up new recruits

Perth Glory are keen to snare Socceroo Brad Jones and Western Sydney midfielder Andreu to bolster their squad for next season, FourFourTwo understands.

Perth’s veteran goalkeeper Ante Covic is expected to exit the Glory and the club want ex-Liverpool and Middlesbrough shot-stopper Jones as his replacement.

Jones is from Western Australia and was a junior with Bayswater City. He has spent the past 15 years playing in Europe.

The 34-year old was released by the Reds last year and after a short spell at Bradford City, signed a six-month deal with Dutch club N.E.C. in January.

Jones has recorded four cleansheets in 16 appearances in the Eredivisie this season.

It is believed Perth is also after talented Spaniard Andreu Guerao Mayoral.

The Barcelona product is off-contract after his one-year deal with the Wanderers ran out.

Andreu impressed in the A-League and played every game, bar two, of the past season.

The 32-year old scored three goals in his 27 appearances.
