Mabil scores brace in Young Socceroos win

A brace from exciting Adelaide United striker Awer Mabil has helped the Young Socceroos to a convincing 4-1 win over Bermuda in California on Monday afternoon (USA time).

Marc Marino and Melbourne City’s Stefan Mauk also got on the scoresheet as Paul Okon's side got off to a solid start in the 2014 NTC Invitational at Mooch Myernick Field.

The clash was the first of the round-robin tournament which also features USA and Chile.

The tournament forms part of the Young Socceroos preparations for the AFC U-19 Championship in Myanmar in October, which also doubles as a qualification tournament for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand next July.

Australia’s game against the US on July 18 (7pm local time) will be streamed live on US Soccer’s website.
