Newcastle denies Poljak NPL rumours

Poljak has been linked with a surprise move to play for Canberra FC in the NPL ACT during the break between A-League seasons.

The Croatian midfielder only joined the Jets from Western Sydney in 2015 on a two-year contract.

A Jets spokesperson told FourFourTwo such a move was “unlikely”.

Canberra FC were founded in 1958 as Canberra Croatia.

The club has produced the likes of Ned Zelic, Josip Simunic and Ante Juric in the past.

Poljak played 26 games for Newcastle in the 2015/2016 campaign, missing only on road.

The 26-year old set up one goal and scored two in the regular season.
