Pedj Bojic exits Sydney FC

Sydney FC and Pedj Bojic have agreed to a mutual termination of the 30-year-old’s contract to allow the defender to pursue other career options.

The full back joined the Sky Blues from the Central Coast Mariners in June 2013 and his two-year deal was set to end at the conclusion of the current A-League campaign.

“I’d like to thank Pedj for his service to Sydney FC over the last year and a half,” CEO Tony Pignata said.

“On behalf of the club I’d like to wish him all of the best in his future endeavours.”

Bojic played 20 A-League games for the Sky Blues and three FFA Cup matches.

Sydney have been active in the transfer market signing Sengalese duo Mickael Tavares and Jacques Faty to cover their injury-depleted squad.

Both players were prominent in the Sky Blues' 5-1 mauling of the Central Coast Mariners on Saturday.

Robert Stambolziev, a 24-year-old Australian left-sided midfielder, has also returned from Greece to bolster the club's stocks.

Sydney have lost key players Corey Gameiro, Ali Abbas, Nick Carle and Sasa Ognenovski to long-term injuries.
