Perth Glory vs Western Sydney Wanderers: Player Ratings

Perth Glory remain at the top of the table after a 2-1 win over Western Sydney Wanderers at nib Stadium and Griffin McMaster rates every players performance below.

DANNY VUKOVIC – 7 Made a good save early. Made himself big to deny Trifiro for a second good save. Set piece meltdown late on could have done better.

JOSHUA RISDON – 7.5 Positive. Defended well.

SCOTT JAMIESON – 8 Job do’er, sound. Well that set piece!!!! Was his 2nd goal, his last goal in August 2010. Was his own goal but I’ve say hard done by.

MICHAEL THWAITE – 7.5 Led well. Defensively strong. Won headers, clean sheet, strong!

DINO DJULBIC – 9 A great header off a corner to open Perth’s account. Defended superbly. Was Perth’s best player.

YOUSSOUF HERSI – 8 Was lively on the right hand side. Getting good service and dribbling at players. Got into the box did good. Came off but top shift.

DANNY DE SILVA – 8 Roaming role in midfield and was given space and time to dribble. Was safe picked good option. Big future.

RICHARD GARCIA – 7.5 Clicked well when going forward also worked hard in his defensive duties.

NEBOJSA MARINKOVIC – 7.5 In red hot form and his shot which was deflected hit the post. Seems whatever he touches is turning to gold. Good recruit.

ROSTYN GRIFFITHS – 7.5 His work rate was his strength. Wanderers didn’t get much of a sniff in his area.

ANDY KEOGH – 7 Dangerous in the last third, didn’t get on the scoresheet but combines well with other front players.

RUBEN ZADKOVICH – 6 Came on after the hour mark and kept Wanderers at bay. Decent shift.

CHRIS HAROLD – 6  On after 67 minutes. Made some good runs and was effective.

DEAN BOUZANIS – 6.5 Couldn’t be blamed for the first goal. Second goal hard to stop... it was a great free-kick!

DANIEL ALESSI – 6 He was underer the pump for a lot of the game.

DANIEL MULLEN – 6 Had a lot of attacks against him. Was caught out a few times.

BRENDAN HAMILL – 6 Needed more support at the back. Was outnumbered and he found it hard to cope.

ANTONY GOLEC – 6 There was a lot of play down his side. Hersi turned him inside out about four or five times.

MARK BRIDGE – 7 Tried to rally his side in attack and get into the game. Had a close shave in the first half.

JASON TRIFIRO – 6 Like most of the side he couldn’t get much possession of the ball. Western Sydney’s attack was more about the counter and quick passing.

MATEO POLJAK – 6 Made a run in the first half and got a free kick but other than that he was quiet. Second half in the game he got in to it more but couldn’t get anything on goal.

ALUSINE FOFANAH – 6 Young player that will benefit hugely from this experience.

LABINOT HALITI – 6.5 Was quiet and did not have many touches on the ball.

JOSHUA SOTIRIO – 6.5 Debut for the youngster. First touch let him down on a couple of occasions. Good experience. Involved in the goal but didn’t know too much about it.

NIKITA RUKAVYTSYA – 6 On 68th minute.

KEIRAN BACCUS – N/A On 77th minute.

VITOR SABA – 7 Came on in the 55th minute in midfield to give Wanderers some muscle. Made a good impact. Possesses good creativity and passing.
