West Ham can move back into the European places when they travel to injury-struck Leeds on Friday night.
The Hammers’ three-match winning run in the Premier League came to an end with a 3-1 defeat to Manchester United last weekend, but they will rise to fifth place with victory at Elland Road ahead of the rest of the weekend’s fixtures.
The hosts are struggling for options in defence, with Robin Koch joining Diego Llorente on the sidelines.
Marcelo Bielsa suggested that he will move Luke Ayling to centre-back alongside skipper Liam Cooper for the visit of the Londoners, while Rodrigo is set to be handed a starting spot.
Sebastian Haller is set to lead the line again for West Ham with Michail Antonio struggling for fitness, while Ryan Fredericks is available again after an injury absence.
These two sides haven’t met in the top flight since February 2003, when Leeds won 1-0 at home, and the Yorkshire club have lost just six of their 50 meetings with the Hammers at Elland Road.
