Novillo cited for tunnel scuffle

Melbourne City attacker Harry Novillo has been cited with a show cause notice following his involvement in a half-time scuffle during the match between Melbourne City and Adelaide United on Friday at AAMI Park.

Novillo has been cited for the incident and a show cause notice has been issued.

Novillo has until midday Tuesday to make submissions in response to the Notice.

The MRP will reconvene tomorrow afternoon to consider the Citation Incident and any submissions filed by Novillo.

Furthermore, Melbourne City goalkeeping coach John Didulica has been sanctioned for four games after his involvement in the same incident.

The coach was seen physically grappling Adelaide United's Stefan Mauk by the neck and was sent to the stands.

The MRP has the authority to consider the incident because of this.

The MRP determined that Didulica committed the offence of Assault on a Player (e.g. violent conduct when not challenging for the ball).
