Southampton vs Leeds United live stream: How to watch the Premier League from anywhere in the world
Watch a Southampton vs Leeds United live stream as the Premier League resumes
Southampton vs Leeds United live stream, Saturday 16 October, 3pm BST
Southampton will be looking to pick up their first victory of the season when they face Leeds on Saturday.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side were also winless before their last encounter, a 1-0 triumph over Watford. That was an important result for the Whites, who had played well in some of their previous games without getting the results. Leeds ended last season strongly to secure a ninth-place finish, and many tipped them as potential European challengers this time around.
That will be difficult, particularly after their indifferent start, but another win here would leave Leeds in a much healthier position than they were before that defeat of Watford.
Southampton were beaten 3-1 by Chelsea before the international break, extending their winless run to seven games. They remain outside the relegation zone having drawn four of those matches, but Ralph Hasenhuttl will be desperate to end his team’s barren stretch as soon as possible. A slow start was to be expected, though, with three key players in Danny Ings, Ryan Bertrand and Jannik Vestergaard having departed in the summer.
Leeds will hope to have Patrick Bamford and Kalvin Phillips available again, but the England duo will need to be assessed. Both players are essential to the way the team functions under Bielsa, and Leeds were fortunate in that they avoided injury for most of last season. Bielsa prefers to work with a small squad and alternative options can therefore be limited when key players are absent.
Robin Koch, Luke Ayling, Adam Forshaw and Crysencio Summerville are definitely sidelined, but Stuart Dallas should be available after a knock. Raphinha could start on the bench after representing Brazil as recently as Thursday.
Southampton will have to make do without James Ward-Prowse, who was sent off against Chelsea. Che Adams has a muscular problem and Jack Stephens is nursing a knee injury. Will Smallbone is back in training after an ACL tear but is not yet ready to play competitively.
Kick-off is at 3pm on Saturday 16 October.

VPN guide
Use a VPN to watch Premier league football from outside your country
If you’re out of the country for a round of Premier League fixtures, then annoyingly your domestic on-demand services won’t work – the broadcaster knows where you are because of your IP address (boo!). You'll be blocked from watching it, which is not ideal if you’ve paid up for a subscription and still want to catch Steve Bruce’s extra-red face without resorting to illegal feeds you’ve found on Reddit.
But assistance is on hand. To get around that, all you have to do is get a Virtual Private Network (VPN), assuming it complies with your broadcaster’s T&Cs. A VPN creates a private connection between your device and t'internet, meaning the service can’t work out where you are and won't automatically block the service you've paid for. All the info going between is entirely encrypted – and that's a result.
There are plenty of good-value options out there, including:
ExpressVPN including a 30-day, money-back guarantee
FourFourTwo’s brainy office mates TechRadar love its super speedy connections, trustworthy security and the fact it works with Android, Apple, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, PS4 and loads more. You also get a money-back guarantee, 24/7 support and it's currently available for a knockdown price. Go get it!
NordVPN with quality mobile and desktop apps
A cheaper option and almost ExpressVPN's equal when it comes to quality, too. A single subscription covers six connections, so you can use it on mobile, laptop, streaming devices and more, all at the same time.
Surfshark offers a great VPN at a fraction of the price
It's clear to see why Surfshark is top of TechRadar's best cheap VPN table – it combines an excellent product with bargain pricing, starting at £2/$2.50 a month!
