Sheffield United v Tottenham Hotspur live stream, Sky Sports, Sunday 17 January, 2.05pm GMT

Tottenham will be looking to bounce back from Wednesday’s draw with Fulham when they take on Sheffield United on Sunday.

Jose Mourinho’s side had won three matches in a row in all competitions prior to their meeting with Fulham, and looked to have turned a corner after a largely disappointing December. They also had the advantage of facing opponents who only knew about the rearranged fixture 48 hours or so before kick-off, yet in the end Fulham were well worth their point.

Spurs again retreated in the second half and were made to pay for their decision to try and sit on a lead, a mistake which also cost them in draws with Wolves and Crystal Palace last month. Mourinho will be demanding a response from his team here, as Tottenham look to move closer to the top four.

Sheffield United finally picked up their first win of the Premier League season last time out, beating Newcastle 1-0 thanks to a Billy Sharp penalty. It was a long overdue success for the Blades and Chris Wilder was understandably delighted afterwards, but United still face an uphill struggle to avoid relegation to the Championship this term. Indeed, the Blades are nine points adrift of safety and will find it difficult to build momentum in the coming weeks: they face the two Manchester clubs after this meeting with Tottenham.

Tottenham will have to make do without Giovani Lo Celso and Steven Bergwijn, but Mourinho has no fresh injury concerns to contend with. Davinson Sanchez will hope to keep his place alongside Eric Dier at centre-back, but Gareth Bale is once again likely to be left out of the starting XI.

Jack Robinson, Jack O’Connell, Oli McBurnie and Sander Berge will play no part for Sheffield United, but Enda Stevens and George Baldock are expected to shake off knocks in time to feature.

You can get 3/5 on a Tottenham win with Bet365, where new customers can get up to £100 in Bet Credits. A Sheffield United victory is available at 21/4 and the draw is listed at 11/4.

Kick-off is at 2.05pm GMT and the game is being shown on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League in the UK. See below for watching details where you are.

Use a VPN to watch a Sheffield United v Tottenham Hotspur live stream from outside your country

If you’re on holiday or just simply out of the country, your domestic on-demand services won’t work – the broadcaster knows exactly where you are from your IP address. Your access to the game will be automatically blocked, which is annoying if you’ve paid a subscription fee and don't want to use an illegal, buffering stream that makes you miss another Jose Mourinho tantrum. And that's where we recommend ExpressVPN (more on which below).

All you need to do is get a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to get beyond such aggravations (assuming it complies with your broadcaster’s T&Cs). A VPN creates a private connection between your device and the internet, meaning suppliers can’t work out where you are and what you’re doing. The info going to and from is entirely encrypted.
