Wolves and Crystal Palace have identical records at the start of the season, with both teams having won three, drawn one and lost two of their six matches to date. Nuno Espirito Santo and Roy Hodgson will both be eyeing a fourth victory of the campaign on Friday night.
Wolves were held to a 1-1 draw by Newcastle last time out, but they are now unbeaten in their last three. Back-to-back 1-0 wins over Fulham and Leeds served as a reminder of how adept Nuno’s side are at edging tight games by a single goal, and another clean sheet here would give them an excellent chance of victory.
Palace overcame Fulham 2-1 last weekend to climb up to eighth in the nascent table. It was a comfortable afternoon for Hodgson’s men, who were only denied a clean sheet by Tom Cairney’s wonderful strike late on. Palace were poor in a 4-0 loss at Chelsea, but at Manchester United and Fulham they married defensive solidity and attacking threat to great effect.
Wilfried Zaha has been their standout performer in the early weeks. The Ivory Coast international scored a brilliant brace at Molineux eight years ago in one of the performances that convinced Alex Ferguson to sign him. He’s notched five goals in six games at the start of 2020/21 and is relishing a new role as one of two strikers in a 4-4-2 formation.
Hodgson will be without long-term absentee James Tomkins, but Gary Cahill could return to the heart of the backline alongside Cheikhou Kouyate. Palace will hope to welcome James McArthur and James McCarthy back into the fold, but Nathaniel Clyne looks set to keep his place at right-back ahead of Joel Ward.
Wolves are in much better shape in terms of injuries, with Jonny Otto the only first-teamer currently on the sidelines. Nuno has used 3-4-3 and 3-5-2 formations so far this season and looks set to opt for the former against Palace.
Kick-off is at 8.00pm GMT and the game is being shown on BT Sport Box Office in the UK. See below for watching details where you are.

Use a VPN to watch Wolves v Crystal Palace live stream from outside your country
If you’re on holiday or just simply out of the country, your domestic on-demand services won’t work – the broadcaster knows exactly where you are from your IP address. Your access to the game will be automatically blocked, which is annoying if you’ve paid a subscription fee and don't want to use an illegal, buffering stream that makes you miss another Jose Mourinho tantrum. And that's where we recommend ExpressVPN (more on which below).
All you need to do is get a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to get beyond such aggravations (assuming it complies with your broadcaster’s T&Cs). A VPN creates a private connection between your device and the internet, meaning suppliers can’t work out where you are and what you’re doing. The info going to and from is entirely encrypted.
There are plenty of options out there, including:
ExpressVPN
Including a 30-day, money-back guarantee
FourFourTwo’s brainy office mates TechRadar love its super speedy connections, trustworthy security and the fact it works with Android, Apple, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, PS4 and loads more. You also get a money-back guarantee, 24/7 support and it's currently available for a knockdown price. Go get it!
NordVPN
Including a 30-day, money-back guarantee
A cheaper option; its cheapest package current averages at a wallet-friendly £2.29 per month.
IPVanish
Including a 30-day, money-back guarantee
Slightly more expensive but supports up to 10 devices, and you can pay for it every three months if you need to.
