Taarabt set for Malaga move

La Liga outfit Malaga are in talks to sign Tottenham Hotspur's 20-year-old Moroccan international Adel Taarabt. Signed in 2007 from French club RC Lens, the prodigiously talented youngster has failed to start a competitive game for the North London club, spending the end of last season on loan at QPR.

But having grown frustrated with his lack of opportunities, Malaga are ready to end his spell in the Premier League, as they look to build on last year's successful eighth-placed finish.

"We are talking with him," club president Fernando Sanz told Malaga Hoy.

"Until the deal is signed, I would prefer not to give any advance information, but there is a good chance we can bring him in.”
