MILAN - Udinese's Italy midfielder Gaetano D'Agostino will not be moving to Juventus after the clubs failed to agree on a fee following weeks of talks.
"The negotiations are definitely over," Udinese owner Gianpaolo Pozzo told Italy's Sky television on Monday.
The 27-year-old has made 94 league appearances for the Bianconeri, netting 13 times, since arriving from Messina in 2006, with his form in 2008/09 helping the club reach the latter stages of the UEFA Cup and himself earn full international honours for Italy.
As a result, D'Agostino has been linked with a move away from Udinese, with Pozzo revealing that an English side had expressed an interest in the former Roma man, with London trio Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur - who D'Agostino featured against in last season's UEFA Cup - believed to be in the running for his signature.
Media reports have said Juventus may now switch their attention to Fiorentina's Felipe Melo but the Turin club, keen to buy a midfielder and a left back, have denied interest in Lazio playmaker Cristian Ledesma.
