New Fulham signing Bjorn Helge Riise has not made the best of first impressions at Craven Cottage, after criticising fellow new recruit Damien Duff.
Riise - the younger brother of former Liverpool full-back John Arne - arrived in West London from Lillestrom for £2 million earlier this summer.
However, the midfielder has yet to make a league appearance for Roy Hodgson's side, while Duff has featured twice in the defeats to Chelsea and Fulham following his arrival from West Bromwich Albion.
And the Norwegian international has hit out at the decision to play the Irish winger ahead of him, insisting he is a better player than the former Newcastle wideman.
“I believe I have better qualities and strengths as a player than he does,” he was quoted as saying in Avisenes Nyhetsbyra.
"Players like Damien Duff have a name and status after playing for clubs like Newcastle and Chelsea and is ahead of me. He has the speed and the experience, and a good shot.
"But he is not that much faster than I am, and I have a better technique, a better touch and deliver better passes than he does. And I can be used in different roles. I know that I have the qualities, and will work hard to play myself into the team."
