MF 2: Kevin De Bruyne, £10.0m (Manchester City)

One of Pep Guardiola’s ‘untouchables’ at Manchester City, De Bruyne started more matches than any outfield team-mate last term. His total of 106 chances created was more than any player, while only Salah managed more efforts on target among FPL midfielders.

MF 3: Henrikh Mkhitaryan, £7.0m (Arsenal)

A price drop to £7.0m can make the Armenian an absolute steal. Mkhitaryan looks set to finally establish himself as a viable FPL asset under Arsenal’s new manager Unai Emery, and over 21% of managers have already snapped him up.

MF 4: Ryan Sessegnon, £6.5m (Fulham)

Fulham’s exciting teenager can be the pick of the promoted players. Transformed by a move to the Cottagers’ front three last season, Sessegnon arrives in the top flight off the back of 15 goals and eight assists in 46 league appearances.

FW 1: Harry Kane, £12.5m (Tottenham)

With 20+ goals in each of the last four seasons, the Spurs striker will again be Salah’s main rival for the captaincy in any given gameweek. Tottenham’s proposed switch to their new stadium in mid-September can strengthen Kane’s credentials as the go-to premium forward for 2018/19.

FW 2: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, £11.0m (Arsenal)

The Gabon international will be a big factor for FPL forward lines in his first full season at Arsenal. Aubameyang averaged 6.7 points per match after moving to north London last winter, supplying a goal or assist in 10 of his 13 league appearances.

FW 3: Marko Arnautovic, £7.0m (West Ham)

Reclassified as an FPL forward this season, the Austrian thrived after being moved up front midway through 2017/18. Arnautovic served up 11 goals and seven assists in 20 appearances as a striker and can maintain that output under new West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini.
