Le Guen extends Cameroon contract

YAOUNDE - Former Paris Saint-Germain and Rangers coach Paul LeGuen has signed a seven-month extension to his contract which will keep him in charge of Cameroon at next year's African Nations Cup and World Cup finals, federation officials announced on Thursday.

The French-born coach originally signed a five-month deal with Cameroon in July with the task of resurrecting their hopes of a place at the two tournaments.

LeGuen then won four qualifying matches in a row to secure an African record sixth World Cup finals appearance for the Indomitable Lions. They will also participate in January's African Nations Cup finals in Angola.
