Get ready to watch Ivory Coast vs Ecuador as World Cup Group E continues in Philadelphia.

It's easy to think of Ivory Coast as World Cup veterans now. They qualified for three tournaments in a row between 2006 and 2014 and have become an undeniable force in African football.

Ivory Coast vs Ecuador: key information

Yet World Cup 2026 marks Ivory Coast's return to the global stage after two tournaments away and they're yet to make it past the group stage.

Ecuador, the first Group E opponents for the Elephants have done so only once, in Ivory Coast's first World Cup in 2006.

This is one of the many fixtures being played for the first time at World Cup 2026 and Sebastian Beccacece's Ecuador are several places higher in the FIFA World Ranking.

After a win and a draw in vain at the last World Cup, the Argentinian manager might well see his team as favourites in their opening fixture, especially with a spine that contains Moises Caicedo, Willian Pacho and Piero Hincapie.

Read on as FourFourTwo brings you all the information you need to watch Ivory Coast vs Ecuador in the FIFA World Cup 2026 online, on TV, and from anywhere.

Ivory Coast vs Ecuador: World Cup 2026 Preview

Ivory Coast's qualification couldn't have been much more emphatic in terms of their own results but Gabon ran them close. Emerse Fae's team finished top of their group with eight wins and two defeats to book their place.

Their last World Cup in 2014 ended in disappointment when they lost to Colombia and Greece after beating Japan in their opening group fixture.

Qualifying in CONMEBOL was ruthlessly dominated by world champions Argentina, who finished nine points clear of second-placed Ecuador and 10 higher than the other four teams to have made the cut after the 18-game league format.

The South Americans will benefit from the unexpected red card amnesty that allows Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo to play in this fixture.

He's one of three Premier League players in the Ecuador squad along with Arsenal's Bayer Leverkusen loanee Piero Hincapie and Sunderland's Nilson Angulo.

Ibraham Sangare, Evann Guessand and Amad Diallo of Ivory Coast also play in England's top division.
