Spain and Slovakia will take each other on on Wednesday night, with both teams vying for a spot in the round of 16.
Slovakia currently hold the advantage in Group E, sitting in second place with three points over third place Spain with two points. A point is enough for Slovakia to qualify at least in second place, while only a win will do for the 2008 and 2012 Euros champions.
Spain have started their Euro 2020 campaign underwhelmingly, as they struggled to beat both Sweden and Poland despite having the lion share of possession. They had 85 per cent of the ball against their Scandinavian counterparts, but were unable to find their way past a resolute defence. Similarly, Robert Lewandowski cancelled out Alvaro Morata's first half strike in the game against Poland, but Spain still had plenty of chances to win the game. A Gerard Moreno missed penalty could come back to haunt them.
Slovakia, on the other hand, have performed better than expected at this Euros. They surprisingly managed to beat a strong Poland side 2-1 in their first game, though a 1-0 loss against Sweden means they need at least a point from this match with Spain. Some may see this as a tall order, but with Spain's performances, it is definitely a possibility.

Luis Enrique is yet to find the winning formula for his Spain side that dominate the ball, but don't seem to progress into goal scoring areas. The endless passing doesn't fashion many chances, plus they are liable to give chances away of their own. Sweden's Alexander Isak missed a glorious chance in the first matchday, while Robert Lewandowksi should arguably have grabbed another after following up a shot that hit the post.
Slovakian icon Marek Hamsik will undoubtedly cause Spain's defence problems though, making this an interesting encounter. No-nonsense defender Milan Skriniar is also at the spine of this Slovakia team, who are aiming to reach the knockouts for their second successive time at the Euros.
