Watch a Southampton v Arsenal live stream, as the Gunners look to reach the fifth round
Southampton v Arsenal live stream, BT Sport, Saturday 23 January, 12.15pm GMT
Southampton and Arsenal will go head-to-head in the fourth round of the FA Cup this weekend.
Mikel Arteta’s side won the competition last term and will have designs on retaining the trophy this time around. Arsenal have returned to form in recent weeks, taking 13 points from the last 15 available in the Premier League while keeping clean sheets in each of their last six matches in all competitions. Their most recent success came against Newcastle on Monday, as Arsenal sauntered to a 3-0 triumph thanks to an excellent second-half performance. Victory here would confirm that the Gunners have turned a corner.
Southampton only played their third-round tie in midweek, beating Shrewsbury 2-0 to set up a clash with the holders. Ralph Hasenhuttl was pleased to see his side return to winning ways following last weekend’s loss to Leicester, although Arsenal will pose a bigger test than the Shrews did on Tuesday. Saints have only won one of their last nine meetings with the Gunners, and their last clash in this competition ended in a 5-0 Arsenal victory.

Arsenal’s turnaround in form can in part be attributed to the promotion of Emile Smith Rowe, who has thrived alongside fellow youngster Bukayo Saka in recent weeks. Both players are expected to start against Southampton, but Arteta could ring the changes elsewhere. However, he will not be able to call upon Pablo Mari, while Dani Ceballos will have to be assessed after he missed Monday’s defeat of Newcastle.
Southampton have a string of injuries heading into this game, with Jannik Vestergaard, Nathan Redmond, Moussa Djenepo, Michael Obafemi, Nathan Tella, Will Smallbone and Mohamed Salisu all out. Danny Ings is available again and could start up front, but young duo Caleb Watts and Dan Nlundulu will hope to keep their places in the starting XI.
Kick-off is at 12.15pm GMT and the game is being shown on BT Sport 1 in the UK. See below for watching details where you are.

Use a VPN to watch a Southampton v Arsenal live stream from outside your country
If you’re on holiday or just simply out of the country, your domestic on-demand services won’t work – the broadcaster knows exactly where you are from your IP address. Your access to the game will be automatically blocked, which is annoying if you’ve paid a subscription fee and don't want to use an illegal, buffering stream that makes you miss another Bukayo Saka assist. And that's where we recommend ExpressVPN (more on which below).
All you need to do is get a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to get beyond such aggravations (assuming it complies with your broadcaster’s T&Cs). A VPN creates a private connection between your device and the internet, meaning suppliers can’t work out where you are and what you’re doing. The info going to and from is entirely encrypted.
