Bad weather holds up Hungarian league

BUDAPEST - The resumption of the Hungarian first division after a winter break has been put back by a week until February 27.

Recent bad weather and heavy snowfalls prompted the clubs to ask the Hungarian Football Association for a delay and it was agreed, the HFA said on Monday.

Surprise packages Fehervar are top with 33 points from 15 matches ahead of title holders Debrecen on 31. Ujpest are third on 29.
