The Hammers’ four-match winning run was ended in defeat to Liverpool on Sunday, but they remain in fifth place and four points outside the top four.

Dean Smith’s side beat Southampton on Saturday and are currently ninth, but they are just three points behind West Ham with two games in hand.

Their last meeting in November ended in a 2-1 win for the Hammers at the London Stadium, with Angelo Ogbonna and Jarrod Bowen goals proving decisive.
The London side’s recent record in this fixture has been strong, as they are unbeaten in five games against Villa, winning two and drawing three.
But Villa are on a good run of home form, having won two and drawn one in their last three games without conceding a goal.
