PSV suffer first league defeat in almost a year

ROTTERDAM - Leaders PSV Eindhoven tasted defeat in the Dutch league for the first time in nearly a year as NAC Breda recovered from a goal down to win 2-1 on Saturday.

Robert Schilder handed PSV their first league reverse since March 15 last year by grabbing the winner in the 72nd minute when he stole into the box unmarked to beat goalkeeper Andreas Isaksson after defender Dirk Marcelis slipped.

PSV started well when Nordin Amrabat set up Orlando Engelaar to score in the 18th but Donny Gorter equalised 10 minutes before the break after a fine combination with Edwin de Graaf.

Fifth-placed AZ Alkmaar came from behind to thrash Heerenveen 4-1 after the visitors had taken the lead in the 20th minute through Filip Djuricic.

Heracles Almelo beat second-bottom Willem II Tilburg 3-2 to stay behind Alkmaar on goal difference, while ADO Den Haag and Vitesse Arnhem shared the points in a 1-1 draw.
