Two-time winners Uruguay will host a small part of the 24th World Cup in four years' time. For now, La Celeste are heading north to leave their mark on this summer's tournament.
These teams have played one another three times in the past, all since the turn of the century. One was a win for Uruguay, one a victory for Saudi Arabia, and one draw.
Despite the evenness in previous results, it will be Bielsa's side who head in as heavy favourites on Monday. That hasn't perturbed Saudi Arabia before though and the Green Falcons will be keen to kick off their World Cup with an upset.

Saudi Arabia vs Uruguay: World Cup 2026 Preview
Saudi Arabia named three overseas players in their squad last time they faced Uruguay at the World Cup. Nearly a decade on, that number is down to one: Saud Abdulhamid of Lens in France.
Whether or not that's a positive reflection on the influence of foreign talent on the home-grown players of the Saudi Pro League will only truly be known in time.
Bielsa's Uruguay are at the other end of the scale. None of their 26 players is employed in his home nation, with the bulk shared between Europe and Brazil.
One of the exceptions is former Benfica and Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez. Now 26 years of age, Nunez has been on the books of Al-Hilal in Riyadh. Actually playing for them has been a whole different story.
Uruguay might be favourites in Miami but they haven't won a game since a friendly against fellow World Cup qualifiers Uzbekistan last October. Facundo Torres and Juan Sanabria netted that day.
Torres, back in the United States for his second spell in Major League Soccer, was left out of Bielsa's squad.
