This quiz is perfectly simple: the top scorer, by first letter of surname, in the post-1992 Champions League era (or how players were more commonly referred). The eagle-eyed among you may have noticed that there are 27 answers and – if we remember Sesame Street correctly – the alphabet has 26 letters.
That’s because one has a joint-high scorers: ‘O’ with 11 goals. Both very gettable, we think, although we’d hope that ‘M’ and ‘R’ don’t hold you up much given that nobody can match these players boasting 100+ goals.
As a bonus clue, we’ve given you the nationality of each player, as well as their Champions League goal total. All you have to do is fill in their surnames. Easy, right?
