Quiz! Can you name the highest-scoring Champions League players by A to Z?
This quiz is perfectly simple: the top scorer, by first letter of surname, in the post-1992 Champions League era (or how players were more commonly referred). The eagle-eyed among you may have noticed that there are 27 answers and – if we remember Sesame Street correctly – the alphabet has 26 letters.
That’s because one has a joint-high scorers: ‘O’ with 11 goals. Both very gettable, we think, although we’d hope that ‘M’ and ‘R’ don’t hold you up much given that nobody can match these players boasting 100+ goals.
As a bonus clue, we’ve given you the nationality of each player, as well as their Champions League goal total. All you have to do is fill in their surnames. Easy, right?
Eight minutes are on the clock, and when you’re done we’d love to know your score @FourFourTwo – we’ll retweet some choice few, if you don’t give answers away. Then please challenge some pals while you’re at it...
