Quiz! Can you name the 100 most expensive Premier League transfers EVER?
In 1993, Roy Keane became the most expensive player in British football history when Manchester United signed him from Nottingham Forest for all of £3.75m. That sum has been obliterated so many times since that we've lost count.
So, first off, we want to apologise if before you even start this quiz, Manchester City have bid £100m for a Brazilian full-back who Pep Guardiola’s son has told him is really good on Football Manager. Transfers spiral ever higher and this is up-to-date as it can be, as of July 2017.
Secondly, the fees below are the originally reported sums for players (minus add-ons). Sorry if it differs from what you might have seen elsewhere. Let’s face it, unless you can hack into Roman Abramovic’s accounts - and we’re seriously not recommending you try that - exact fees for players can't always be known.
Enough of the small print - it’s showdown time. You have 10 mins to name the 100 biggest transfer fees paid by Premier League clubs. When you’re done tackling this monster, let us know your score @FourFourTwo - we’ll retweet it if you don’t give any answers away. Then challenge a few pals too.
(Note: Adblockers can stop you seeing our quizzes, which is an even bigger letdown than some of the players below. Please turn them off while you're here. Thanks!)
