How to watch a Burnley v Aston Villa live stream, as both sides look to win again
Burnley v Aston Villa live stream, BT Sport, Wednesday 27 January, 6pm GMT
Aston Villa will be looking to build on Saturday’s triumph over Newcastle when they travel to Burnley on Wednesday.
Dean Smith’s side beat the Magpies 2-0 at Villa Park in the only Premier League fixture of the weekend. It was a perfect response to the midweek loss to Manchester City, and leaves Villa in eighth place in the table heading into the midweek round of fixtures. Smith has done a tremendous job so far this season, and he and his players will be looking up the table rather than down it as they attempt to remain part of the European conversation.
Burnley ran out 1-0 winners in their last top-flight fixture, as Sean Dyche’s side became the first visiting team to triumph at Anfield in a Premier League game since April 2017. The Clarets were characteristically solid at the back, denying Liverpool clear-cut chances and asking one or two questions at the other end from set-pieces and counter-attacks. It was also their seventh clean sheet of the campaign, with Burnley once again priding themselves on their solidity: Manchester United and Chelsea are among the teams who have conceded more goals than the Clarets so far this season.
Latest odds from Betfred where new customers can bet £10 to get £30 in Free Bets + 60 Free Spins
John McGinn is in line to return to the Villa starting XI after missing the Newcastle win through suspension. Wesley Moraes is a long-term absentee and Kortney Hause remains sidelined with a foot problem. Jack Grealish, Ross Barkley and Bertrand Traore will look to supply the ammunition for Ollie Watkins, who notched his seventh league goal of the campaign at the weekend.
Burnley have few injury problems to contend with. Charlie Taylor is their only absentee, with Erik Pieters set to continue in his place at left-back. Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes will return to the line-up after being rested in Saturday’s 3-0 victory over Fulham in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Kick-off is at 6pm GMT and the game is being shown on BT Sport 2 in the UK. See below for watching details where you are.

Use a VPN to watch a Burnley v Aston Villa live stream from outside your country
If you’re on holiday or just simply out of the country, your domestic on-demand services won’t work – the broadcaster knows exactly where you are from your IP address. Your access to the game will be automatically blocked, which is annoying if you’ve paid a subscription fee and don't want to use an illegal, buffering stream that makes you miss another Jamie Vardy goal. And that's where we recommend ExpressVPN (more on which below).
All you need to do is get a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to get beyond such aggravations (assuming it complies with your broadcaster’s T&Cs). A VPN creates a private connection between your device and the internet, meaning suppliers can’t work out where you are and what you’re doing. The info going to and from is entirely encrypted.
