Sao Paulo coach stable after brain scare

RIO DE JANEIRO - Sao Paulo coach Ricardo Gomes was admitted to hospital on Sunday after complaining of pins and needles in his right shoulder, the Brazilian club said on Monday.

Brain scans detected a minor vascular anomaly and he was being kept under observation as a precautionary measure, according to a medical report issued by the club.

The former Paris Saint-Germain and Brazil captain and Bordeaux and Monaco coach was admitted on Sunday after his team's 2-0 defeat by Palmeiras in a city derby.
